THE HEART · AN INTRODUCTION

Mercy & repentance

The Quran calls people away from despair and towards returning to Allah. Hope in His mercy appears alongside a call to turn back to Him.

Do not give up hope

Quran 39:53 addresses those who have wronged themselves and directs them not to despair of Allah’s mercy. This is a passage to approach with hope and attention to what follows.

Read the invitation together

The next verse, 39:54, calls people to return to their Lord and submit to Him. Reading these verses together connects hope with repentance and a changed direction.

Respond to a mistake

Quran 3:135 describes people who remember Allah after wrongdoing, seek forgiveness and do not knowingly persist in what they have done. The emphasis includes returning and responding, rather than treating wrongdoing as unimportant.

TO CARRY WITH YOU
