A place to read.
A reason to return.
Al Furqan brings Quran reading, published meanings, recitation and personal study tools together in a calm, accessible space. Our aim is to help you return to the Quran with greater consistency and attention.
Make room for the Quran in everyday life.
Whether you have time for a single verse or a longer passage, Al Furqan is designed to make the next step easy: open the Arabic text, follow a translation, listen to a recitation, or look more closely at an explanation.
The name Al Furqan is associated with the Quran and the distinction between truth and falsehood. It reflects the purpose of this project: to make reading and exploring the meanings of the Quran easier to reach.
Every section has a clear purpose, and the Arabic Quran, translations, published tafsir and personal reflections are kept distinct.

The Arabic Quran
Quran text, metadata and reading fonts are provided through Quran.Foundation. Al Furqan displays source text rather than generating or rewriting Quran verses. Uthmani, IndoPak and Tajweed are reading presentation choices; the verse reference remains visible beside the passage.
Translations of the meanings
Translations are published human works provided through QuranEnc and Quran.Foundation. They help convey an understanding of the meanings and do not replace the Arabic Quran. Dari uses Muhammad Anwar Badakhshani’s edition; Persian and other languages identify their own editions. Translator notes are shown where supplied.
Published tafsir
Available explanations include editions of As-Saadi, Al-Mukhtasar, Ibn Kathir (Abridged), and Abu Bakr Zakaria. A source entry may cover several verses together. We retain its reference range so that an explanation is not presented as if it belongs to a different passage.
Personal reflections
Your study notes are your own writing. They are displayed separately from Quran text and published tafsir. The website does not generate a new tafsir or machine voice for translations and explanations.

Your place.
Your pace.
Your browser.
You can read and use the Quran tools without creating an Al Furqan account. If you choose to register, we store your name, email address, account status and sign-in information with Supabase, our authentication provider. The site administrator can see these account details and suspend or restore access to protected account services. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not shown in the administration panel.
We also keep an administrative record of account access changes, including any reason entered by the administrator. Signing in does not sync your reading data: personal reading information stays in browser storage on the website address you are using.
- Saved verses and reading preferences stay in the same browser.
- Reading progress counts only the verses you mark as read. Opening a page or playing audio does not count as reading.
- Personal study notes are saved locally; they are not published as part of the website.
- Progress does not sync between devices, browsers or different website addresses.
- Clearing browser data can remove your saved information. If storage is unavailable, new progress may be kept only for the current visit.
Pages request Quran content, translations, fonts and recitation audio from their providers. Those requests are needed for the relevant content to load; this is not a promise of completely offline use.
On a shared device, other people using the same browser profile may be able to see your saved notes and progress. Keep a separate copy of any notes you do not want to lose.
A few things
to know.
Are Dari and Persian separate translations?
Yes. They use different named editions, rather than the same text under two language labels. You can switch editions within the reader without leaving the passage.
Are all tafsir languages available inside the website?
No. The study page lists the available editions. German and Dutch tafsir are not currently available to read inside Al Furqan. We will not present a generated explanation as a published edition.
Can I search in every translation language?
Keyword search currently supports Arabic Quran text and English translation results. Separate Dari and Persian translation search is not available. You can open a result in the reader with any of the 13 available translation languages.
Does the website count my reading automatically?
No. Use “Mark as read” beside an ayah. A verse counts once per local day even if you revisit it. “Keep my place” saves a reading position without marking the verse as read.
Is the home-page tasbih counting my actual recitation?
No. It is an animated visual guide. It shows one remembrance for 33 bead movements before moving to the next. It does not listen to you, verify your recitation or add to your reading progress.
Can I use the site without an internet connection?
Some interface elements and local notes may remain available in an open tab, but Quran content, translations, fonts and audio can require an internet connection. Full offline access is not currently provided.
What should I do if a passage does not load?
Use the retry option where it is shown, check your connection, or try another available edition. A loading failure should not be treated as missing Quran text. For a suspected wording issue, check the named edition and verse reference with a qualified teacher or the original publisher.
